My name is Kat. My closest friends and family call me Kati. My mother calls me Katilyn when she's shocked.

I've lived on the eastern-side of Virginia my whole life.

I am a mother to a beautiful little girl and a wife to my best friend: Joey. We have two dogs-- a geriatric, 12-year-old hot dog named Woody & a goofy, overweight hound dog whose full government name is Eugene "Popeye" Jalepeño Ryan. He is the love of my life.

For as long as I can remember, I've loved to write. I have diaries that stack high from the age of 10 to current day. Writing helps me process different events that I may be facing in life and helps me get through hard times.

Living with Bipolar 1, I have the chronic, cringe-worthy ability to experience life with the deepest emotion. I used to see this as a crutch of mine, but I think feeling things is what connects us to the fundamentals of life.

What's life if you can't experience it to the fullest extent? It's highest highs, it's valley-lows, and everything in-between.
